According to a clinical trial published in the American Journal of Chinese Medicine, rhubarb is an excellent vegetable for weight loss.
Not only does rhubarb contain numerous vitamins and minerals it includes an antioxidant called catechin, which increases metabolism for quicker weight loss. Catechins are the same nutrients for which tea is famous for weight loss.
Rhubarb is high in fiber which helps to produce a feeling of fullness to prevent overeating.
As an additional benefit, rhubarb helps to lower blood pressure and LDL cholesterol.
