Cooking Tip of the Day
There are many methods of removing garlic odors from the hands, but there is one guaranteed method of removing the garlic smell from the hands. The cure is very simple.
After cutting, chopping, and mincing garlic, rub hands on something made of stainless steel. This can be as easy as touching the kitchen faucet.
If the kitchen faucet isn’t made of stainless steel, touch a cooking utensil made from steel.
Gently rubbing hands with a Brillo stainless steel scrubbing pad will do the trick.
A stainless steel odor absorber made just for this purpose is best of all. These objects will also remove odors from onions, fish, and other odorous foods.
