Studies conducted at the Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York, discovered that the scent of pure vanilla lowered anxiety by 63 percent.
Studies also showed that the scent of vanilla produced sleepiness as effectively as prescription drugs in 92% of subjects studied.
To use vanilla extract is as easy as placing a few drops of vanilla extract on a cotton ball and leaving it on a nightstand where it can be easily inhaled at bedtime.
