Health Tip of the Day
Despite their sting, radishes are soothing and healing for insect bites and stings.
A quick way to reduce the pain and itch of an insect bite or sting can be eased by simply cutting a radish in half, and applying the cut side of the radish to the area.
Radishes contain antibacterial substances that can keep the bite from becoming infected.
Radishes also have anti-inflammatory substances that keep the area from becoming swollen.
Radish seed oil contains palmitic acid. Palmitic acid is a fatty acid that protects skin, preserves moisture, and softens skin. Simply apply one or 2 drops of oil to the bite.
The radish seed oil acts as a natural healing source and is especially good for mosquito bites.
