Slugs Love Oats

Oats aren’t only a delicious and healthy choice of grain for human breakfasts; slugs love oats too.

If slugs are devouring your garden plants, here is one of many organic tips to protect them from the marauding slugs.

Bare the soil of mulch around the plants being chewed. Sprinkle dried rolled oats around the plants. Repeat as the oats disappear or after rains. It needs to be dry.

The oats will be devoured by the slugs and are safe for all pets and wildlife.
