Bright, shiny, attention-getting garage sale signs are easy to read, and lead customers directly to the door of the sale.

Balloons, streamers, and other flying objects get attention, but both are becoming commonplace so something more original is required to attract attention to the garage sale ahead.

An unusual addition to a garage sale sign is to wrap the outside of the entire sign with red aluminum foil. It’s shiny, and definitely gets attention.

Regardless of what colors are used, lettering should always be big and bold.

If an arrow pointing the direction of the sale, a yellow arrow with a black outline is the most easily seen.
