Beauty Tip of the Day
Chamomile is one of the best herbs that can be used to heal and moisturize dry skin.
The oils in a chamomile flower can be drank as a tisane, or tea, which moisturize and nourish the skin from inside. Used as a wash it soothes irritation and cleanses and disinfects minor wounds and scratches. Chamomile acts as an anti-inflammatory and antiseptic so protects against infections.
Chamomile is good for facial skin that has been out in the cold, dry winter air. A few drops of chamomile essential oil drops can be added to a facial sauna for soothing relief.
Anyone allergic to feverfew, daisies, sunflowers, asters, ragweed or chrysanthemums should use chamomile with caution or not at all.
