Baking Soda For Hair

Baking Soda For Hair

Beauty Tip of the Day

Add extra bounce and volume to hair with baking soda, a common kitchen staple baking ingredient can be used as a beauty product.

Baking soda breaks up excess oil, and naturally removes chemicals that have built up on the hair from using various hair care products.

The easiest way to use baking soda is to add 1 to 3 teaspoons of baking soda to the usual amount of shampoo used and wash hair. Baking soda mixed with shampoo helps the shampoo to work more effectively.

A paste of one-fourth cup of baking soda can be added to a small dish. Add water and mix well. Add to dry or wet hair. Let sit for a few minutes. Rinse well.

Add one tablespoon of baking soda to enough warm water to make a slurry. Blend well. Massage into hair and leave for 15 minutes. Then wash as usual.

Baking soda can dry the hair and make it brittle if used too often. This deep cleansing is best used occasionally to remove heavy commercial products.
