Camphor is one of the best natural insecticides. It has been used by homeowners for more than a century.
Keep food put safely away in glass jars or plastic containers.
Sweep up all crumbs.
Wipe all sweet spills immediately.
Wash every place ants are seen with a half-and-half solution of water and vinegar.
There are many spices and herbs that help to deter ants very successfully.
But if all these methods fail, camphor is 99.9 percent effective, according to homeowners who have tried it. Simply dissolve a little camphor in water and sprinkle in places where you see ants. Voila! No more ants.
