A diamond decorated Christmas tree is out of the budget for most people, but there once was a true diamond studded Christmas tree for sale. It was located in the Takashimaya Department Store in Tokyo, Japan. It was 16 inches tall, and had 100 carats of diamonds interspersed between dried roses. It cost a mere 1.8 million dollars.
While hardly anyone is going to own this piece of exquisite artwork, a diamond Christmas tree is possible for anyone. The tree in the department store boasted 400 diamonds. Decorating a traditional Christmas tree with sparkling, diamond shaped decorations, as few or as many as desired, can create an original diamond Christmas tree to be proud of!
