Lemon has a stimulating, fresh, sharp scent. In addition, lemons have a pungent aroma that can clear foul odors and revitalize the environment of a room.
A lemon juice-soaked cotton ball or sponge will absorb unpleasant odors when placed in the back of a refrigerator for just a couple of hours.
Have a pet cat? Place a sliced-up lemon near the litter box to reduce any objectionable odors.
To prepare a natural air freshener, mix the juice of one lemon into a 16-ounce spray bottle. Then, add a few drops of lemon essential oil.
Simmer a sliced-up lemon, along with 2 or 3 tablespoons of whole cloves and/or a cinnamon stick in a small saucepan. The entire house will smell fresh as lemons!
