Eating caraway seeds can help with weight loss by reducing snacking and increasing fat metabolism.

Munching on caraway seeds satisfies cravings to the point where less calories, especially carbohydrates, are not desired.

A study published in Evidence-Based Complementary and Alternative Medicine, reported that caraway seeds release hormones that decrease hunger. The subjects lost inches around the waist, lowered their body mass index, and had a lower body fat percentage than those taking a placebo.

Caraway seeds can bring relief for heartburn, bloating, and gas. Therefore, while not thoroughly understood, the scientists theorize that gut hormones may play a role in the weight loss results.

Caraway seeds are easy to include in a daily diet. They are used in numerous bread products, fruit desserts, salads, potato dishes, sausages, meat dishes, soups, and many more.

Caraway seeds can also be enjoyed as a tea. Simply steep up to one tablespoon of seeds in hot water for a minimum of 15 minutes.
